Morning walk in the frosty landscape... Magic.
"If you make a four-season garden, you have to accept decay and see the beauty of it. It's about the texture and shape, the seed heads and the skeletons." -Piet Oudolf
Thumbed A through E in Michael Dirr until I finally found it. Enkianthus campanulas. True love.
The garden is starting to take on that prairie-feel.. my 100 hours of planning, plus labor, are finally paying off!
So many blossoming beauties to photograph over the past month. The peonies are still going.. a few plants have yet to open! It's June 14.
The first peonies are blooming... capturing my senses with their delicate beauty and fragrance. Enjoy!
